@decker1215 Sit in your most comfortable chair or sofa… Be sure to be very, very comfortable… Ready? Ok… Don’t move any muscle, not even a finger tip… Now hold your breath for as long as he does… When you succed in this experiment go to the ocean an repeat it but you have to reach 141 mts (430ft aprox) and then pull yourself up to the surface with a rope… (I’ll let you use any device, a rocket, jet, sled, etc) When you succed, reply!!! I hope to hear from u within the next 15 years!

This is the discipline of “variable weight” (as mentioned in title).
The freediver goes done with a weighted sled and comes up without by his one means (=> down (sled) and up (no sled) := weight difference).
