Saying, it, the life of a sports enthusiast on a sports social network, is full of fun, would be an understatement. Ever heard of someone getting bored because of “too much” fun? To find the answer, I looked at different features of some of the most populous sports social networks and came up with the following conclusion on the most unique feature of the social networks.

First, let’s take ESPN’s sports social networking site. The most unique offering of ESPN’s social network that I found was its game called Streak for the Cash. Streak is a game that challenges the prediction IQ of sports enthusiasts. The game is played by predicting the winner of one of the listed matchups, and once the matchup is final, selecting the winner of a matchup that hasn’t started yet. The winner is the player who builds the longest winning streak each month or the most correct picks each month.

FanNation, a partner sports social network of Sports Illustrated and CNN, is more focused on news and statistics. It’s most unique offering is called Truth & Rumors. As the name suggests, this is a very handy offering of FanNation for sports fans as they can be accurately informed of what’s happening in the world of sports.

Comenplay.com is a unique sports social networking site in that it brings athletic sports fans together so they can share fitness tips and meet new friends. This British sports site is increasingly getting popular in Britain. The most unique thing about this website is that it helps sports fans find people to play sport with.

ZexSports.com is especially for fans of extreme sports. This site caters to fans as well as players of such extreme sports as BMX biking, kayaking, river rafting, wake boarding, and rock climbing. The site qualifies to be mentioned in this article because it mainly serves as a search engine to find upcoming/ongoing extreme sports events with open registrations.

FanIQ.com, the sports site that aims to be the most interactive sports site, claims to be the world’s first online sports bar. FanIQ’s massive community drives the creation of the content and games of the site. There are IQs to be scored by members by answering quizzes, trivia and simply participating on other activities of the site, but that’s not what FanIQ is in this article.
