what kind of gun do you use?……….and how much would one of those cost.?…im a 16 year old free diver, and i would love to get in to this.

@gunna1997 Reel and float line, both have advantages and disadvantages, depends on the area (close to rocks better a reel, open areas float line) and the size of fish (for a very big kingfish you may preffer a float line). Reels make things easier in many cases and barracudas may approach you closer than having a line to the surface. Hope this helps

Ever since the movie, “Into the Blue”, with Jessica Alba and Paul Walker, I’ve wanted to start sparefishing… sadly … i cant swim…
btw… what is the purpose for the multiple “fish-gun rubbers”???

@cyanopterus thanks mate, i can’t stay longer than 1 minute which really deters me from open ocean diving but i want to try it this summer. any training tips?

@1BillionBongHits thanks for your comment. To be honest I don’t stay too long, maybe close to three minutes, serious freedivers are doing over 5 minutes, and the world record without previous oxygenation is 11 min and 35 secs by Stephane Mifsud. Check out “Freediving Instructors International” or “Performance Freediving” for available courses. All the best.
