Go Crazy with Spheremania!
Article by Airkix
Ever heard of spheremania? No? Where have you been? It’s the sensation that’s sweeping the nation: the ultimate party ride. Welcome to the air sphere – the craziest (and happiest) place on earth.
Anyone who’s ever wondered what it’s like to fly – really fly, like a bird, not just up in a plane or something – needs to get down to their nearest sphere centre right away. Imagine a kind of backwards sky dive – a permanent flying or floating sensation delivered in the total comfort of an air filled sphere. That’s spheremania: completely safe, completely mental and completely here. Here’s the science bit, for the geek minded: the air sphere is rolled (with you in it) into a vertical wind tunnel, or “flight chamber”. The flight chamber works on the exact same principle as a test tunnel for F1 cars – it’s just turned on its end so the air flows up from floor to ceiling rather than along from door to door. The sphere, once it’s caught in the air stream, floats up into the air: where you get to experience the sensation of flying without having to grow a pair of wings!
Spheremania is completely safe for almost everybody. There are, of course, rules and regulations to be appeased before the flight commences – but the typical nine persons out of ten wishing to take off can do so in total confidence. There’s no need to have any prior experience of any kind of sky diving (the activity that sphere flying most closely resembles, apparently, in terms of feel): and most age ranges are safe to give it a go.
With official centres opening in good locations all over the country, there will soon be no excuse not to have a crack at spheremania. The activity is perfect for all sorts of occasions – from birthday parties with a difference through to other parties. In the case of the latter, alcohol consumption is not advised beforehand. Use the air sphere as the day’s activity and save the beers for the evening.
Not only is sphere flying perfect party fodder – now that the recession has bitten properly it’s being subsidised by the vouchers shoppers get when they buy their groceries at one of the major supermarkets. That means addicts and first time flyers alike can get their fix without having to worry about price. The per person price of a spheremania session varies according to usage and group size, but is rarely expensive – on average, a single person can take two flights for ?33: that’s just over £15 per flight. Not bad for a sensation that you can’t get anywhere else (unless you pay hundreds of pounds to get chucked out of a plane strapped to a supervisor!).
The awe inspiring fun of sphere flying makes it a perfect event for team building and corporate exercises too. Official sphere flight centres, like the Airkix flight centres in Milton Keynes and Manchester, are able to arrange full facilities for a corporate go at spheremania, including refreshments meeting spaces and presentation equipment. What better way to mix business with pleasure?

“Know A Kid with ADHD? Get the Facts About Kids With ADHD and Sports”
Article by Scott Becker
ADHD or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a neurobehavioral based disorder that can be found in adults as well as children. However, it is most commonly only diagnosed in young children. The main symptoms are hyperactivity, as well as the inability to pay attention, mood swings and aggression.
Kids with ADHD often times find it difficult to get involved in sports. Many sports require the ability to completely concentrate and stay focused. As well, certain sports may require that the child remain calm and quiet in many instances. However there are a variety of different sports that can be ideal for a child with ADHD.
An excellent choice for someone with ADHD is team sports. One example of a good sport for a kid with ADHD would be soccer. A lot of running and the need to work together with other teammates is needed to play soccer. In a child that experiences the hyperactivity side of ADHD, a sport that involves running is a great way to burn off the excessive energy.
Another great sport for kids suffering with ADHD is running or track. Again, the idea behind this is that the kids can run and burn off excessive energy. They also do not have to use a lot of concentration in such sports.
An excellent sport for a child who has been diagnosed with ADHD is hockey. Hockey requires a lot of action and is a fast paced game. In the average hockey game, there is very little down time in which the kids need to remain calm and quiet.
Another sport that is good for someone with ADHD is karate. Karate not only gives the child the ability to burn off some of his excess frustrations, it also gives the child the ability to learn discipline and structure. Structure is extremely important in a child with ADHD.
In little kids, t-ball is a poor choice for someone with ADHD. Waiting your turn to bat is extremely hard for any little one. However, if you add in the ADHD factor, it becomes nearly impossible. Once the child is placed in the outfield, his attention will drift off even further, since there is often very little activity out there.
One sport that would be not be a good choice for someone who has been diagnosed with ADHD is golf. The ability to remain calm and quiet throughout the game is needed in golf. This is often a difficult task for a child with ADHD.
Kids with ADHD and sports can go hand in hand with some careful planning. If your son or daughter has been diagnosed with ADHD, it is important that you find a sport that fits with their particular personality. If at first you do not find a sport that is a perfect fit, do not give up hope. Simply try additional sports, until you find the perfect one. Sports give all children, especially those with ADHD, the ability to burn off the excess energy and stress they often carry with them.

Draw Envious Glances with Stylish Motocross Jerseys
Article by Wain Roy
Possessing a bike is a dream of almost every youngster. Bikes are certainly an essential medium of fashion these days. The more stylish your bike is, the more impression you can create. However, it’s not just the vehicle that catches the eye- the apparel and accessories of the motorcycle as well as of the rider are equally important. Quite rightly, one doesn’t need an expert to elaborate on the uses of motorcycle jackets or motocross jerseys.
Motorcycle jackets can be effective safeguards against serious injuries. These jackets are lined with foam and padding in the high impact areas like shoulders, and elbows. Being the only obstacle between the ground and the body (in case the vehicle crashes), these jackets offer adequate protection against severe injury and abrasion.
Research suggests that majority of bike accident deaths could have been avoided if the rider had worn protective gears like the helmet or the motorcycle jacket. Motorcycle jackets or motocross jerseys help to minimize the severity of injuries thus emphasizing their utilities.
Motocross jerseys make bike riding a pleasurable experience. These apparels also act as a protective shield against heat, rain, cold, and water. This motorcycle apparel does not make you feel wet even after crossing a puddle of water. Your attire of all weathers, motorcycle jackets allow the rider to feel cozy and safe while riding.
These aspects apart, motorcycle jackets or motocross jerseys lend an x-factor to the rider’s appearance. Being trendy and fashionable, this attire certainly makes a style statement. Leather jackets are a rage with most bikers. These jackets are generally made using buffalo, elk or cow hide. Besides, jackets made of other materials like nylon and Kevlar are also becoming popular.
Those preferring trail bikes choose plastic armor as a shield against injuries from collision, falling off, or speeding into track barriers. These motorcycle jackets can be relied upon as a great protective gear. Being stylish, they can even be worn when one is not riding. So take your pick of the motorcycle jerseys that best suits your bike, accessories and riding style. If the pick is right, drawing envious glances is guaranteed!
