@tiger0tank Probably the intake? I don’t know what “weeeee” means, but the intake is making the sucking sound.

@mailtsauce All RB engines use cast iron blocks that are very similar in design and so they all have very similar strength. The only exception is if you have an RB26 with a N1 block but these are very rare.

@mailtsauce
the RB30 was designed for the R31 Skyline and GQ Patrol. They put it in the VL because Holden couldn’t produce a six cylinder that could meet new emissions requirements.

What’s the “weeeeeeeeeee” sound you hear when the camera us on the front if the hks r34, I don’t think its the turbo b/c you can hear it already, so what is it?

@MidShipCivic You still have to spend money strengthening the Australian RB30 engine, as isn’t as strong as the RB26 in the Skylines. The engine was made for the 1986-1988 Holden Commodores and wasn’t designed for performance use. However don’t quote me on that, it’s just from what I’ve read. Cheers.

@xstr33tr4cerx Depends on the company. HKS is 2.8L, Tomei is 2.86L, JUN is 2.7L, ect. Most 3.0L strokers are custom

@MidShipCivic i know but i was just pointing out that there actually existed such a kit. anyways have a good day

@skylinemongo I can’t find a reason why anyone would pay for the OSGIKEN block kit it’s 30 thousand dollars with that money you can fly to austrailia buy an RB30 for $600 eat out go shopping pay for you flight to return and pay for shipping to come back with the block., you haven’t even exceeded 3,000 dollars yet.
August 7th, 2011 on 10:07 pm
@MidShipCivic there is an os giken stroker kit for the rb26
August 7th, 2011 on 10:37 pm
@blaze363 He wasn’t referring to anything he clearly said ”stroked rb26? becomes a 3.0 buddy” is your first language English?
August 7th, 2011 on 11:24 pm
@MidShipCivic I think he was referring the overall size of the engine. Compared to the compact VQ the RB is very long and heavy. Nismo had a hard time balancing their Skylines in JGTC(Super GT), until they finally did an engine swap.
August 8th, 2011 on 12:13 am
@xstr33tr4cerx You can’t stroke an RB26 to 3.0 retard that’s a totally different block called an RB30… HKS 2.8 is a STROKE RB26. Just be quiet you have no idea what you were saying.
August 8th, 2011 on 12:22 am
@MidShipCivic um stroked rb26 becomes a 3.0 buddy.
August 8th, 2011 on 12:43 am
The commentator is a retard ”replaced with a larger inline 6 RB” The VQ is 3.5L a stroked 2.8 RB is SMALLER.
