@avalondigangsta We don’t pull a cord. We grab and pull a pilot chute and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I LOVE my Base Rig and wouldn’t ever consider jumping without it.

@roidroid Not really. We are going approx. 120Mph so it would be quite hard to line up and land on wheels.
I’ll stick to my Base jumping rig forever. I very much enjoy the time under my canopy. I’m not sure why anyone would want to abandon the tradition harness and canopy and land without one. Jumping without a rig wouldn’t be the same.

You guys need to realize he’s falling more than 100mph, the only way to not use a parachute is to stall at the exact perfect millisecond. this guy is basically glorifying a suicide attempt( a successful one I may add)

does anyone know where that statue is in?

if the person had wheels on their chest, it might make landing easier. They could land on a runway or road.

A circular design decelerates in all directions. If they can find a way to use purely the winged design to bring the flyer to speeds slow enough for a safe landing, the person would be able to touch down on the ground while still moving forward and as high a speed as is desirable. Which would be REALLY fucking cool to watch…

happens to water skiers all the time.
August 8th, 2011 on 4:34 am
@roidroid yes you can stall them to a low virtical speed but you cant wipe off the forward velocity you would bounce off the water and flip your self to bits
August 8th, 2011 on 4:49 am
i never thought of that…. maybe that could work id have to no exactly how fast they are goin before hitting the water to have an opinion on that.

.lol how is anyone even buying a word i said.
August 8th, 2011 on 6:16 am
Yeah, but couldn’t the landing may be achievable if you make the wingsuit bigger, give the wings more area to create lift with?: )
